Dee Valley Clean Up’s Mission Statement

Our organisation aims:

- To constantly remove hazards and man made debris from environments used for outdoor adventure both recreationally and commercially in the Dee Valley.

- To create a culture where maintaining these environments is natural but also encouraged and rewarded, especially within the outdoor industry.

- To boast and publish the achievements of Dee Valley Clean-Up to make local residents and businesses aware of the positive impact of outdoor adventure users both visiting and living in the Valley. 

What we want our future to be

At Dee Valley Clean Up our future is looking bright, we have overcome a lot to be where we are now and we have no thoughts of stopping any time soon. We like to think big but realistic.

At the moment Aaron, Rob and Clive all work full time so time to organise and expand is limited. Despite this we have already managed to grow our numbers to more than double. Starting with just a handful of volunteers to over 50 at our last event. We hope to double this again in the coming year.

We also started solely as a river clean and are now holding the clean up in more environments, this includes the river, crags, hills and trails. This takes lots more time and organising bringing so many people together in one place but it's worth it and we are fully committed to the future of this organisation.

We are currently working on making Dee Valley Clean Up a registered organisation, this will give us more power to apply for grants and support. This also gives us backing when approaching local authorities and businesses while looking for change.

This Is something we are really excited about.

We hope one day that Dee Valley Clean Up can be an organisation that can be a template used around the UK to create change in areas used for outdoor activities, We also hope that we become established enough to provide support to help others in their journey of creating change and making these special places better for everyone.
